Stake OriginalStake Blue Samurai: Reels, Wilds and Bonus
A guide to Stake Blue Samurai: the five-reel mini slot, 40 paylines, Wild and Scatter symbols, free spins, and Manual and Auto modes.
Published by The Gambling Desk ·
Stake Blue Samurai is a Japanese-themed mini slot. A spin starts five reels and evaluates the resulting symbols across 40 fixed paylines. Unlike Mines or Crash, there is no progression or cashout decision after the spin begins.
The game retains the compact Stake Originals interface: the amount and mode are set on the left, while the reels occupy the centre.
How a Spin Works
- Set the bet in Bet Amount.
- Choose Manual or Auto mode.
- Press Bet to spin the reels.
- The game evaluates the combinations on the active paylines.
- The multiplier and total payout appear when a combination wins.
The supplied screenshot shows a bet of 0.50 and a payout of 4.50x, or 2.25 in total. The net profit from this spin is therefore 1.75 after deducting the initial bet.
Understanding the Blue Samurai Interface
The Manual and Auto tabs are located above Bet Amount. The ½ and 2x shortcuts halve or double the displayed bet. The Bet button immediately starts a spin in Manual mode.
The game area presents five columns of symbols in a dojo setting. The winning result is highlighted in the centre with its multiplier and monetary value. Total Payout repeats the round’s payout at the top of the grid.
The Fairness button is visible at the bottom right. The other lower icons provide access to the settings and game information.

Reels, Paylines and Combinations
The legacy DOCX describes 40 fixed paylines. A combination must bring together four or five identical symbols on a recognised line to produce a payout. The result therefore depends on both the visible symbols and their positions on the reels.
An isolated symbol, or several identical icons outside a valid line, does not necessarily constitute a win. The final amount is calculated automatically by the interface.
Wild, Scatter and Free Spins
The Wild can substitute for paying symbols in a combination. It helps complete a line, but its presence alone does not guarantee a payout.
The DOCX states that three Scatters positioned on reels 2, 3 and 4 trigger 10 free spins. The reels then operate according to the bonus sequence defined by the game. A bonus remains a random outcome: it does not become more likely because it has not appeared recently.
Symbols, triggering conditions and features must be distinguished in the information panel. A similar appearance does not mean that two icons have the same role.
Total Payout and Profit
The interface presents the multiplier as a total return applied to the bet. In the visible example:
- bet: 0.50;
- multiplier: 4.50x;
- total payout: 2.25;
- net profit: 1.75.
This reading avoids confusing return with profit. The amount of 2.25 includes the initial bet of 0.50.
RTP and maximum-win figures are not stated on this page because the repository’s current resources do not provide independent canonical data with which to confirm them.
Auto Mode and Controlling the Pace
Auto mode runs spins consecutively without changing the reels, paylines or probabilities. It accelerates the pace at which the bet is committed.
Before using it, determine the number of spins and the corresponding total budget. A fixed bet makes exposure easier to understand than a progression after losses. No betting system turns random results into a guaranteed return.
Blue Samurai and Provably Fair
Fairness provides access to Stake’s provably fair mechanism. The cryptographic elements associated with the spin allow its result to be checked afterwards. They predict neither the symbols nor the next combination.
Our guide to Stake provably fair explains the seeds and nonce. To compare it with another slot-inspired format, see Scarab Spin. Diamonds, by contrast, illustrates a selection game.
