Stake VIP is a tiered loyalty programme based on eligible cumulative wagering rather than deposits or net losses. Learn how ranks, progress and variable rewards fit together.

The Stake VIP programme rewards cumulative activity across the casino and sportsbook. Its main measure is wager: the total value of recorded bets, not the amount deposited, the remaining balance or the player's losses.
A $100 deposit therefore does not automatically create $100 of progress. If that $100 is bet several times, cumulative wager can exceed the original deposit. Conversely, deposited funds that are never played do not count as wager.
VIP ranks and thresholds
The official ladder contains fifteen levels. Each threshold is the wager counted to reach that rank:

How VIP progress is calculated
For ordinary casino bets, $1 wagered generally represents $1 of VIP progress. Stake's help material states that sportsbook bets count three times as much: a $100 sports bet therefore represents $300 of VIP progress.
This weighting does not turn the stake into a bonus or increase the bet payout. It only changes the rate at which the VIP progress bar advances. Voided or refunded bets and some game categories can follow specific rules.
Some presentations of the programme mention a ×2 weighting for “Only on Stake” games. This must be confirmed in the official interface before being applied to a calculation. A future TGD calculator must distinguish standard casino, eligible categories and sportsbook rather than treating any multiplier as permanent.
What benefits can members receive?
Rank and activity can unlock different benefits:
- rakeback, calculated from betting volume and the game's theoretical house edge;
- weekly or monthly bonuses depending on eligibility and recent activity;
- reloads, particularly from certain Platinum ranks;
- rank-up bonuses;
- access to a VIP channel and, at higher ranks, a VIP host.
These benefits are not a fixed income. Amounts can depend on the game, recent period, rank, house edge and promotion terms. Two players at the same rank should not necessarily expect the same amount at each distribution.
Reading progress correctly
The VIP bar measures volume. It does not show how much a player has won or lost. Rapid progress usually involves substantial betting turnover and therefore real financial exposure, even when a weighting accelerates the calculation.
To estimate a target, start with the next rank threshold, subtract the wager already counted, then apply only the confirmed weighting for the intended bet type. The planned The Gambling Desk VIP calculator will automate this reading; it is not yet part of this page.

Frequently asked questions
Is wager the same as a deposit?
No. A deposit funds the balance; wager totals eligible bets. The same balance can be played several times and generate wager greater than the deposit.
Does the sportsbook advance VIP progress faster?
Yes. Official help states that one dollar wagered in the sportsbook counts as three dollars of VIP progress. This applies to rank progress, not to the bet payout.
What is the first VIP rank?
Bronze is the first level and is reached at $10,000 of counted wager on the official ladder.
