Stake chat and rains: how do they work?

Stake chat brings players together in discussion rooms. Rains are occasional distributions offered in this chat to accounts that meet the requirements.

How do you access Stake chat?

Chat access unlocks after you have wagered $500 since the account was created. This threshold is accumulated over the entire lifetime of the account.

Wagering means the total amount staked. It is not the amount deposited, the available balance, or wins or losses. For example, depositing $500 does not automatically unlock chat: it is the bets placed that contribute to wagering.

Once access is open, choose a room whose language you understand before taking part.

What is a rain on Stake?

A rain is a distribution made in Stake chat to eligible users. It appears directly in the room and states that an amount is being distributed among several accounts.

Being present in chat does not guarantee that you will receive a rain. There is no fixed frequency, guaranteed amount or permanent availability.

How do you become eligible for rains?

To be eligible for rains, you must have wagered $3,500 over the last 7 days. This requirement applies to a recent rolling period, unlike the cumulative $500 used to unlock chat.

Reaching this threshold makes the account eligible, but does not guarantee that a rain will be available or received. Wagering more solely to become eligible for a rain makes no economic sense: its possible value does not automatically offset the money put at risk.

How do you receive a rain?

There is no button to press and no rain to claim. When a rain is distributed, Stake automatically and randomly selects eligible players.

To be eligible for selection, you must have wagered $3,500 over the last 7 days, played on Stake and recently been active in chat. Meeting these conditions makes you eligible, but does not guarantee that you will receive a rain.

Why did I not receive a rain?

Allocation is random among eligible players. You can therefore meet all three conditions—the required wagering, recent chat activity and play on Stake—without receiving a rain.

Rules to follow in chat

• write in the language of the room;
• avoid spam, copied messages and strings of emojis;
• do not ask for tips, bonuses or rains;
• remain respectful towards members and moderators;
• do not post advertising or suspicious links;
• use official support for any account-related problem.

Normal participation contributes something to the conversation. Rain farming—posting solely in the hope of receiving a distribution—mainly creates spam and may lead to moderation of the account in chat.

Beware of scams

A genuine rain is distributed automatically in chat. Beware of fake giveaways, accounts impersonating support and private messages promising a rain in exchange for signing in or making a payment.
