Stake Pump: Rules, Difficulty Levels and Multipliers

Pump features a balloon that the player inflates one action at a time. Every successful pump increases the multiplier. The player can then cash out or attempt another pump. If the balloon bursts before cashout, the round ends and the bet is lost.

Unlike a Crash game that progresses by itself, Pump waits for an action from the player. The pace, number of attempts and point of cashout therefore remain visible and controllable, but the result of every new pump is still random.

How a Round Works

1. Choose the bet and a difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert.
2. Start the round with the Pump control.
3. After a successful pump, check the new multiplier.
4. Use cashout to collect the return, or pump again.
5. If the balloon bursts, none of the round’s potential multiplier is paid.

The game waits for a new command after every success. This gives you time to read the displayed return before deciding whether to continue.

Interface, Controls and Auto Mode

The balloon and multiplier occupy the centre of the screen. The side panel lets you choose the bet, difficulty, and Manual or Auto mode.

In Manual mode, the Pump control triggers a single action and the cashout control ends the round. The space bar may also be used as a shortcut in the documented interface. An option lets you disable animations without changing the result.

The Auto tab is used to set, among other things, the number of pumps per round, number of rounds, and profit or loss limits. These automatic settings execute an instruction; they do not anticipate when the balloon will burst. Check the settings and budget before starting a sequence.

Difficulty and Risk Progression

Easy increases the payout slowly and permits the longest sequences in the table. Expert concentrates more risk on every pump: the multipliers rise much faster, but the column ends after 15 possible successful pumps.

At the first success, the table ranges from 1.02x on Easy to 1.63x on Expert. After five pumps, it ranges from 1.23x to 17.34x. This difference does not make Expert more advantageous: it rewards a much less probable sequence.

Pump Multiplier Table

The first column shows the number of successful pumps. The other four give the available multiplier for each difficulty. A blank cell means that the sequence does not exist in that mode.

To compare two difficulty levels, stay on the same row. For example, after three pumps, the table gives 1.11x on Easy, 1.46x on Medium, 1.98x on Hard and 4.95x on Expert.

The branded table contains the reference values and can be opened at full size to make it easier to read.

Bet, Total Return and Profit

The total return is calculated by multiplying the bet by the multiplier at cashout. A bet of 20 units cashed out at 1.46x gives 29.20 units in total, or 9.20 units in net profit.

A multiplier of 10x therefore means ten times the bet as a total return, not ten times the bet as profit. Until cashout has been used, the displayed multiplier remains potential.

Tips and Limits

• choose the difficulty before starting the round;
• compare modes at the same number of pumps;
• decide on a limit in advance instead of continuing simply because the balloon has not yet burst;
• use automation with a capped number of rounds and a fixed budget;
• do not treat a long previous sequence as an indication of the next one.

A less volatile mode may produce more small increases, but no setting eliminates the risk of losing the bet. The extreme multipliers in the table correspond to very rare sequences and are not a probable objective.

Pump and Provably Fair

Stake documents Pump as a provably fair game. The server seed, client seed and nonce allow the sequence of a round to be verified after the server seed is revealed. This check confirms the calculation of the result; it cannot predict the next pump.
